Facet Fuel Pump Posi-Flo

Facet Posi-Flo® series electronic fuel pump, lightweight, state-of-the-art design, with proven reliability. Facet® brand pumps are a global leader in the electronic fuel pump industry and known for their high quality and dependability.

Ideal upgrade to the mechanical fuel pump of FIAT X1/9 1300 & 1500 carburettor models. Benefits from improved fuel delivery, anti-drain back valve to minimise priming and high lift capability for the X1/9 tank. Requires fabrication of a suitable bracket typically fitted to the cooling fan mountings.

This pump is applicable to X1/9 original Weber 32 DMTR, 32 DATRA & 34 DATR carburettors and does not require a separate fuel pressure regulator.

For modified engines or twin carburettor conversions, the Facet Silver Top EN333 or Silver Top Competition EN334 fuel pumps may be more suitable.

An external pre-filter must always be used from the tank to protect against debris, see EN348.

Note: Fuel unions are not included with the pump, but are available separately. Two straight EN335 unions would be recommended for X1/9 use, but 90 degree EN336 unions may be preferred.

The fuel pump should always be powered such that it will stop in the event of an accident, but still allow it to be primed before engine start-up. The use of an inertia safety switch in the pump power supply is recommended, see EE319, but the oil pressure triggered Lancia Scorpion and Montecarlo S1 start/run relay circuit can be implemented if preferred.

Important: When fitting fuel unions, either wrap PTFE tape around the threads or use Loctite 243 to create a fuel proof seal.
