Quadoptic halogen headlight set. Pair of 7 inch round Right Hand Drive (e.g. UK & Australia - drive on the left, dip to left) headlamps with metal reflectors, complete with H4 60/55W bulbs.
Can be used for conversion from sealed beam units for increased visibility and improved lighting pattern. Fits both 1300 and 1500 models.
Unlike other manufacturers sets, these are without a parking (side or pilot) light fitting, so are ideal replacements for the original units.
These lights also have a lens curve that is very close to the Carello design, although the glass is 2-3mm thicker at the edge which may require a slightly longer chrome trim fixing screw such as
FS079
to be used -
we supply these stainless steel screws with all sets.
You may additionally require the headlight pod bezel trim screws which are available separately as either early
FS080
or late
FS081.
Important: To obtain the maximum performance out of X1/9 headlights, whether using standard or upgraded bulbs, ensure the headlight wiring has been modified with a suitable bypass relay to eliminate the full current of the low beam circuit from passing through the column switch assembly and main light switch. Failure to ensure this common modification has been implemented will cause long term damage and impair headlight performance. No modification is required to the high beam circuit on 1500 models as it already has a factory fitted bypass relay.
