X1/9 Distributor Cap - Marelli S178

Distributor cap for the Marelli S178 distributor - this type was typically fitted to later 1500 models from 1988-1989.

Caps for the alternative Marelli S135 and Marelli S155 (Side or Top entry) distributors are also available. Always confirm which type you require before ordering as a different year replacement distributor may have been fitted in the past.

Marelli S178 distributor:
This originally used a black, blue or white colour cap. The cap is secured by two spring clips. The points assembly SV019 is a cassette unit and the gap is adjusted externally by a hex allen key. Compatible with condenser SV020 & rotor arm SV021. Check the model number on the outside of the distributor body if you're not sure.

Also applicable to Lancia Beta VX & IE models. Use with rotor arm SV021 (non digiplex) or SV411 (digiplex).
